<p>The invention relates to a process for preparing a composition comprising a hyperbranched polyesteramide and solid particles dispersed therein, comprising the steps of (a) forming a mixture comprising of (i) the solid particles in a dispersed state; and (ii) an A-Bx monomer comprising an amide group, wherein A is a carboxyl acid functional group and B is a hydroxyl functional group or A is a hydroxyl functional group and B is a carboxyl acid functional group, and x, being an integer, is the number of functional groups B per molecule A-Bx; and (b) then heating the mixture to polymerize the A-Bx monomer and to form the hyperbranched polyesteramide. The invention also relates to a composition obtainable by said process, and the use of said composition for preparing a polymer composition, a paint composition or a thermoset composition.</p> |
