PURPOSE: A projection system is provided to improve contrast by installing a compensation film to be capable of fine-tuning. CONSTITUTION: An optical source(12) emits a white light. A PCS(Polarizing Conversion System)(18) modulates light with one component between a longitudinal wave component and a transversal wave component of the white light into light with the other component. A color switch(24) divides the white light modulated in the PCS(18) into RGB colors. A PBS(Polarizing Beam Splitter)(26) reflects light with one component between a longitudinal wave component and a transversal wave component of the light divided in the color switch(24), and penetrates light with the other component. An LCOS(Liquid Crystal On Silicon)(28) modulates the light penetrated or reflected in the PBS(26), forms an image, and reflects the image to the PBS(26). A projection system(30) projects the image formed in the LCOS(28) on a screen. A compensation film assembly(52) has a base, a rotation plate, a glass, a compensation film and an irregular reflection preventing film. The rotation plate is installed in the base. The glass is fixed and installed in the rotation plate. The compensation film is attached on one surface of the glass. The irregular reflection preventing film is coated on one surface of the compensation film and the other surface of the glass. The compensation film assembly(52) is installed between the PBS(26) and the LCOS(28).
