PURPOSE: An article sorting device with a shooting-type variable mechanism is provided to easily achieve a complicated sorting operation regardless of shapes of the articles like flexible flat or small box-shaped articles. CONSTITUTION: An article sorting device(100) with a shooting-type variable mechanism is composed of an article collecting sheet(160) and a fall prevention sheet(170). The article collecting sheet is switched and suspended between a shooting extension position for collecting articles discharged from a carry-out shoot(130) into a collecting box(B) disposed under a storage table(140) and a storage condition forming position for suspending the articles temporally stored in the storage table in the air. The fall prevention sheet is pulled out from the front side of a rear surface of the storage table and switched and hung between a collecting box fall preventive position for blocking the collection box on the storage table from the front side of a base unit in a wall preventive state and an article projection preventive position for temporally storing the discharged articles on the storage table.
