APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING COLLISION BETWEEN HOME NETWORK STATIONS USING CARRIER SENSING SIGNAL

PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing a collision between home network stations using a carrier sensing signal is provided to increase the number of collision control stations controlled by homePNA(Home Phoneline Networking Alliance) by increasing the capacity of MBL and BL counters. CONSTITUTION: A received frame state extracting unit(40) receives a predetermined signal from an MAC(Media Access Control) of one station connected with a network. The receiving frame state extracting unit(40) extracts the current state of a frame received in the one station and data transfer priority of the one state, and a final state decision reference point signal of a carrier sensing signal of the frame, and extracts another predetermined signal for deciding an MBL(Maximum Back-off Level) and a BL(Back-off level) of the frame based on the predetermined signal. An MBL calculator(41) calculates MBL values based on the extracted current state and the predetermined signals of the received frame. An MBL register(42) stores the MBL values. A BL calculator(43) calculates MBL values based on the extracted current state and the predetermined signals of the received frame, and the MBL values. A BL register(44) stores the BL values.
