PURPOSE: A device for automatically opening and closing a head light of a vehicle is provided to prevent accidents caused by hindering the visual field of a driver by securing the sufficient brightness of the head light and preventing the head light from being polluted by various foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: A device for automatically opening and closing a head light(10) of a vehicle is composed of a protecting cover(20) installed to the side of the head light of the vehicle; a transfer unit(30) for transferring the protecting cover; a guide unit(40) for guiding the transfer unit; and an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,50) for opening and closing the head light by controlling the transfer unit to external conditions and transferring the protecting cover. The transfer unit comprises a rack gear(31) extended and installed to the protecting cover; a pinion gear(32) engaged and disposed to the rack gear; and a motor(33) controlled by the ECU with rotating the pinion gear.
