PURPOSE: A back light unit for two-sided display, an apparatus for manufacturing the back light unit, and a two-sided LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) using the back light unit are provided to emit lights in two directions. CONSTITUTION: A back light unit(130) for two-sided display includes a plurality of lamps(122), and a light guide plate. A plurality of patterns are formed inside the light guide plate. The light guide plate projects lights emitted from the plurality of lamps in two directions using the plurality of patterns. The back light unit further includes a lamp housing(124) for surrounding the lamps and the edge of the light guide plate, and optical sheets(116a,118a,120a,116b,118b,120b) laminated on the front and back sides of the light guide plate. A plurality of dummy patterns are formed on the front and back sides of the light guide plate.
