PURPOSE: A call admission control method in a mobile communication system is provided to distinguish generated calls into a voice call and a data call, and to confirm whether minimal resources are available, then to perform a priority guaranteeing function for the voice call and to set a maximum SCH(Supplementary Channel) for the data call, thereby satisfying QoS of all users. CONSTITUTION: A system distinguishes generated calls into a voice call and a data call(S1). The system confirms whether minimal resources are available to secure the calls, respectively(S2). If the resources are not available, the system confirms whether the data call is set in a sector and an FA(Frequency Assignment). If so, the system generates space resources by reducing a data transfer rate of the data call, and performs a voice call priority guaranteeing function for receiving the voice call by using the spare resources(S3). If the data call is generated, the system performs a function for securing a minimal data rate of an SCH designated by a system operator and setting a maximum SCH in a specific sector and an FA by using the spare resources(S4).
