PCMCIA MODULE AND PORTABLE COMPUTER EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PURPOSE: A PCMCIA(Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) module and a portable computer equipped with the same are provided to slim and miniaturize a portable computer such as a notebook computer, and a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) by installing a mini PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) slot to a PCMCIA card. CONSTITUTION: A PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(100) has a connector inserted into a mini PCI slot(40). A PCMCIA connector(200) is joined to the PCB at a bottom and has a form for receiving the PCMCIA card. A PCMCIA controller controls the PCMCIA connector by installing to one side of the PCB with an interval from the PCMCIA connector. The PCMCIA connector includes a body(210), a connecting pin(220) electrically connected to the inserted PCMCIA card, and a guide rail(230) guiding the insertion of the PCMCIA card by being bent/extended at both ends of the body.
