Cosmetic composition in the form of a water-in-oil-in-water emulsion comprises a pigment dispersed on one or both aqueous phases in the presence of a dispersant. An Independent claim is also included for production of a composition in the form of a triple emulsion by dispersing an aqueous phase in an oil phase to form a primary emulsion and dispersing the primary emulsion in an aqueous phase, where a pigment paste comprising 30-85 wt.% pigment and 0.1-5 wt.% dispersant is predispersed on one or both aqueous phases in an amount of 1-15% by weight of the emulsion.
