PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for sharing load of a GSN(GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) Support Node) are provided to facilitate expansion of system capacity by simply adding a GTP-U(GPRS User plane) processor or an IP processor. CONSTITUTION: A GSN allocates a representative IP address to each GTP-U processor(S301). The GSN informs every IP processor of the allocation result(S302). When a PDP session setup request message is received from a mobile terminal, the GSN selects one of the GTP-U processors and transmits the representative IP address of the selected GTP-U processor to an RNC(Radio Network Controller)(S303). An IP packet transmitted from the mobile terminal through the RNC is received by the IP processor of the GSN(S304). The IP processor routs the IP packet to the GTP-U processor having a destination IP as a representative IP address(S305).
