PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammering tool assuring an easy-to-use property by preventing an intermediate housing from temperature rise. SOLUTION: A pair of aeration passages penetrating up and down are provided at the internal sides of a crank housing 5 to serve as the intermediate housing in such a way as having communication with a cooling air passage A of a motor 3, and a plurality of inclined grooves 29 becoming shallower gradually as going toward the front are formed at a stage 28 in the oversurface of the crank housing 5 so as to put the inside and outside of the crank housing in mutual communication even in the condition that a cap 25 is attached. The air taken into a motor housing 2 with rotation of a fan 21 in association with the drive of the motor 3 is exhausted via the passage A out of an exhaust hole 20, and also intrudes into the crank housing 5 and rises inside the aeration passage as shown by Arrow B to be exhausted to ahead aslant from the inclined grooves 29.
