PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel porous aluminum fluoride compound which has high activity as a fluorination agent, a fluorination catalyst, etc., is easy of handling, can be used in a flow type reaction, and carries antimony fluoride usable at a high temperature. SOLUTION: The porous aluminum fluoride carries SbCl<SB>x</SB>F<SB>5-x</SB>(x is 0-5) and is produced by a process in which SbCl<SB>5</SB>etc., are supported on the porous aluminum fluoride, and the product is treated with hydrogen fluoride.
