<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unlocking even when a card is pulled during data processing, and facilitate unlocking when the card is pulled after data processing. <P>SOLUTION: A card reader/writer comprises a solenoid 6 for attracting a plunger 7 or releasing the attraction, a plunger spring 8 for urging the plunger 7 in a withdrawal direction N of a card 2, a slide member 11 movable with the plunger 7 in an insertion direction S or withdrawal direction N of the card 2, a lock member 13 for locking the card 2 upon a movement of the slide member 11 in the S direction and unlocking it upon a movement in the N direction, a hook member 15 separably engageable with the slide member 11 moved in the S direction to hook and stop the slide member 11, and a hook spring 17 for applying force to the hook member 15 to unhook it from the slide member 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
