PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accurate steering angle without doing an assembling process again by determining the deviation of a neutral position of a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor by assembling resolution, in a state of being distinguished from the failure of the steering angle sensor. SOLUTION: This device has the steering angle sensor for detecting a steering angleθof a steering shaft on the basis of its neutral positionθ0, whether the neutral positionθ0 of the steering angle detected by the steering angle sensor is deviated by the relative assembling resolution of the steering shaft and the steering angle sensor or not is determined (step S3), and the steering angleθdetected by the steering angle sensor is corrected by the assembling resolution, when the deviation of the neutral positionθ0 of the steering angle detected by the steering angle sensor is determined.
