PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of controlling a sterilizing capability according to state of the ambient environment and use conditions of the refrigerator. SOLUTION: An external ion generator 11 is installed on a refrigerator body 1, and the requirements for energization, blow air volume of a blower 16, and air blow direction of a louver 19a are made variable according to the state of the ambient environment and use conditions of the refrigerator detected by sensors 13 and 14.
