PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking nut for a rolling bearing and a slitter device using the nut capable of sufficiently exhibiting a locking effect after sealing the rolling bearing incorporated in a prescribed shaft step part of a rotating shaft, and reducing the vibration of a side face of the shaft step part which is provided in a surface perpendicular to an axis of the rotating shaft and is used as a reference surface for incorporating a tool or the like toward a thrust direction to sub-μm order, in the rotating shaft. SOLUTION: A frame board-shaped connecting part is formed on both sides of a width direction of each slit 7 by providing a plurality of slits 7 extending from an outer peripheral surface 6 side of a locking nut body 2 to an inner peripheral surface 5 side and piercing the inner peripheral surface 5 in a circumferential direction. A pressing side connecting part 8 has thickness which is deformable. A free side connecting part 9 is made thicker than the pressing side connecting part 8, and a pressing screw 12 is provided on the free side connecting part 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
