PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash discharge lamp equipped with an ozone-less quartz tube with Ti doped and hardly generating melanism of an arc tube. SOLUTION: The flash discharge lamp has an arc tube made of quartz glass with titanium (Ti) doped and has a concentration gradient of the titanium (Ti) where a titanium (Ti) concentration gets higher from an inner surface toward an outer surface side of the arc tube.
