PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device, image storage device and imaging device capable of reducing a user's burden by simplifying the operation for retrieval of image data, and their control methods. SOLUTION: The communication device transmits the positional information acquired by the communication device when it transmits an imaging instruction signal to the imaging device by remote control. On receipt of the imaging instruction signal, the imaging apparatus performs an imaging, and stores the received position information in the header part of a taken image when this image is stored. When an image stored in the imaging apparatus is retrieved from the communication device, the imaging apparatus reports retrieval conditions (time information, positional information, and keyword), the attribute of the positional information (GPS information, base station ID, and character data) to the communication device.
