摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence microscope capable of coping with any fluorescent coloring and having resolution within the diffraction limit of an optical system, and an inexpensive astronomical telescope having the resolution within the diffraction limit. SOLUTION: In the optical microscope, a 1st phase diffraction grating 4 whose zero-order diffracted light is zero is installed on the optical image forming surface of a self light emitting body 1, a 2nd phase diffraction grating 6 whose zero-order diffracted light is zero is installed on an image forming surface by light from the 1st phase diffraction grating, and a 3rd phase diffraction grating 8 whose zero-order diffracted light is zero is installed on an image forming surface by light from the 2nd phase diffraction grating. Furthermore, the 1st, the 2nd and the 3rd phase diffraction gratings are arranged so that much of light from an optional light spot on a line on the light emitting body 1 may be formed into an image and light from a light spot within the diffraction limit of an image forming optical system from the above-mentioned light spot other than it may pass through the 1st, the 2nd and the 3rd phase diffraction gratings and may be little formed into the image on a two-dimensional photodetector 9.
