PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground improvement method capable of preventing the production of surplus soil and obtaining sufficient allowable bearing force and soil bearing force by simple work in a method to improve a soft ground. SOLUTION: A press-fit member 80 is pressed into a base 10 by pushing it therein from the upper part of the surface soil 20, and then, a conical concrete filling hole 30 is formed in the base 10 and the surface soil 20 by pulling out the press-fit member. Reinforcement 50 is embedded in the base 10 to fix at the center of the concrete filling hole 30. A dice block 70 is placed to a predetermined position of the surface soil 20, and a mesh wire netting 60 is laid in a state to mount it on the dice block 70. The upper end of the reinforcement 50 is fixed to the mesh wire netting 60. Ready mixed concrete is placed from the upper part of the surface soil 20, and it is solidified to form a concrete body 40.
