PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a stable tin-nickel alloy film containing no non-equilibrium NiSn phase. SOLUTION: Tin layers and nickel layers are deposited alternately in succession on a specific substrate to form a multilayered film comprising the tin layers and the nickel layers. The multilayered film is rapidly heated to a specified temperature and kept at that temperature for a specified time, thus producing a tin-nickel alloy film comprising only a Ni<SB>3</SB>Sn<SB>2</SB>phase.
