PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition exhibiting excellent flame-retardance, especially retardance in a thin-walled state, having high impact strength and suitable for the molding of a thin-wall large-sized molded article. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition is composed of (A) a resin comprising (A-1) a resin component composed of 50-100 wt.% aromatic polycarbonate resin and 0-50 wt.% styrene resin or (A-2) a resin component composed of 20-80 wt.% polyphenylene ether resin and 80-20 wt.% polystyrene and (B) a flame-retardant composed of a phosphoric acid ester expressed by formula (I) (R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each a 6-12C aryl; R5 and R6 are each methyl or H; and R7 and R8 are each methyl). The amounts of the component A (the component A-1 or the component A-2) and the component B are 65-99 wt.% and 1-35 wt.% based on 100 wt.% A+B, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
