PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the certainty of transportation in a passage of a take-over and transporting apparatus between a transporting apparatus of a reaping part and a grain culm feeding and transporting apparatus for feeding grain culms to a threshing apparatus of a combine harvester and shorten the full length of the machine body. SOLUTION: The reaping part 5 of the combine harvester is composed by installing a reaping blade 15 on the rear side of a plurality of grass dividers 10 and a raising up apparatus 11 and installing a root transporting apparatus 14 for transporting the grain culms from the left and right grass dividers 10, respectively on the rear side of the reaping blade 15. The starting end of a plant foot take-over and transporting apparatus 31 vertically moving the starting end, regulating the threshing depth and taking over the grain culms to the starting end of the grain culm feeding and transporting apparatus 30 faces to the terminal end of each root transporting apparatus 14. A lower transverse transmission case 18 of the reaping part 5 is mounted on the tip of a vertical supporting frame 6 freely rotatably mounted on the machine body side. The lower parts of lateral transmission cases 20 and the central transmission case 21 for transmitting rotation to the raising up apparatuses 11 are mounted on the left and right and intermediate positions of the lower transverse transmission case 18, respectively. The upper parts of the transmission cases 20 and 21 are connected to the upper parts of the case 61 of the raising up apparatuses 11. Upper and lower intermediate bent parts 60 are formed in the upper and lower intermediate parts of at least the lateral transmission cases 20 in the transmission cases 20 and 21 so as to be located on the front side of the upper and lower ends thereof.
