Disclosed is an element for reciprocally supporting a fuel injection valve (1) within a valve seat of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine and on a fuel distribution conduit (2). Said supporting element is embodied such that the forces acting upon the fuel injection valve (1) are effective only in an axial direction and are not provided with any radial component.
