The present invention is related to a deep bed filter cartridge comprising a cylindrical filtering media case which raw water flows in and is discharged from; a filtering media bundle which is a bundle of textiles, and both ends of which are fastened by support strings; a filtering media fastening device which is connected to the both ends of the said media case, and which plural support strings of the said filtering media bundle are combined with, and which fastens the plural filtering media bundles inside of the filtering media case. Then it is featured to filter suspended materials in the raw water. For the deep bed filtration, the present invention is to control the density or size of the filtering media pores by arranging and inserting a filtering media with different length, or by using a conical filtering media case, or by using a compressing device which compresses the filtering media case. The present invention can use the whole space of the layer as the particle capturing space because the filtering media density is getting higher gradually from the inflow part to the discharge part, and executes deep bed filtering for the suspended materials of different sizes in accordance with the portion of the filtering media.
