<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air suction type fuel cell in which fuel feed from the outside to the cell part can be made sufficiently even if fuel pressure is low, and in which stable power generation performance is obtained by enabling air exchange easily made. <P>SOLUTION: As for this air suction type fuel cell, the cell part includes a solid polyelectrolyte membrane, an oxygen electrode and a fuel electrode opposedly installed on both sides of this solid polyelectrolyte membrane, an oxygen flow-path plate neighboring the oxygen electrode side, and a separator plate installed adjacent to the outside of the oxygen flow-path plate and the outside of the fuel electrolyte side. This has a cell stack for power generation composed by laminating a plurality of the cell parts, and a fuel distribution manifold is formed as a rod member having a profile of cross-sectional polygon, and a fuel supply path is formed in the interior of a tie bolt, and a plurality of fuel flow-paths are installed which are communicated with this fuel supply path, and which are formed between the center hole of the cell part and an outer peripheral face of the fuel distribution manifold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
