<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition for printing which is colorless under visible light, and can develope color and visualize under ultraviolet irradiation, and which is excellent in odor of a solvent, reduced flammability and the like, exhibits excellent stability and suffers from no deterioration in luminous intensity with time even in a mixed solvent of a high water content in taking into consideration of environmental merits such as reduction in odor of the solvent and flammability etc. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink composition comprises (A) a europium compound represented by formula (1), (B) a binder and (C) an aqueous medium (in the formula (1), X is an optionally substituted aromatic ring or heterocyclic ring group; Y is a 1-10C fluorohydrocarbon group; and M is an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
