PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the slide gap of final product with high accuracy in a short time without causing quality deterioration. SOLUTION: This method for setting the slide gap between a slide body 36 and a guide body 30 which compose a part of the final product processes the slide body 36 or the guide body 30 to adjust the slide gap such that the slide gap is set to the slide gap Gt of the final product as it is while detecting the slide gap.
