PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser device capable of performing satisfactory optical coupling even to a small-diameter optical fiber whose numerical aperture is restricted. SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser device is provided with a semiconductor laser 1, two sets of optical coupling elements 3, 4 which are opposed to the light-emitting surface 1a of the exciting light of the semiconductor laser 1 and are arranged while their optical axes are made to differ from each other in directions in a slow axis with respect to the optical axis of the laser 1, and two sets of optical fibers 5, 6 to which the exciting light is made incident respectively through the two sets of optical coupling elements 3, 4.
