<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee braking circuit for an artificial leg capable of securely generating a required braking force when a certain load is applied. <P>SOLUTION: Two compartments 20e and 20f are divided by an oscillation vane 22. The knee braking circuit 10 comprises a throttle 40 to generate flow resistance, a check valve 50 and a selector valve 60 connected parallel in a passage 30 connecting the two compartments 20e and 20f. The selector valve 60 is opened/closed by receiving the load of a user of the artificial leg. When the selector valve 60 is closed, a required braking force is generated by the action of the throttle 40. When the selector valve 60 is open, an oil smoothly flows through the selector valve 60, and therefore, the braking force is not generated in the knee braking circuit 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
