PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service performance monitoring system enabling the use of an optimum service with further high responsiveness by acquiring, in a performance monitoring/control for a service optionally used by a user, degree information for the failure or reduction in performance of a server or the like. SOLUTION: Between a client terminal 2 using the service on a network and a monitoring object 3 such as a service providing server for providing the service, the performance of the monitoring object is measured in the service performance monitoring node 1 passed via the communication. The service performance monitoring node 1 can acquire threshold information such as normal value/abnormal value range information for the performance value of the monitoring object 3 disclosed in a known information disclosing server 4 by a threshold information acquisition part 17. On the basis of the threshold information and the performance measured value, the degree of the failure or reduction in performance of the monitoring object 3 can be further precisely determined, and switching to an alternate service or the like can be flexibly performed.
