PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the grip part of an externally attachable grip adaptor further rotatable and to use the grip part as a stand (support mechanism) for a camera body. SOLUTION: The grip adaptor consists of an adaptor part 12 attached to the outside bottom of a camera 1 and a grip part 11 one end of which is fitted to the adaptor part in a manner freely rotatable particularly in a downward direction. The grip end 11c is made rotatable to the rear of the camera, so that the rotated grip end 11c is designed to serve also as a support together with the adaptor part 12 for the camera 1 on a base 20.
