PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic spring damper capable of adjusting the gas quantity and its pressure by easy constitution. SOLUTION: Beside a piston 4 is arranged in a cylinder 2 to the sliding movement free, a piston rod 5 connected to the piston 4 is protruded to outside of the cylinder 2. In the pneumatic spring type damper that fills up the gas into the cylinder room formed by the above cylinder 2 and the piston 4, the above cylinder room is partitioned to a compression room 8 and an expansion room 9 by the above piston 4, and a passage 12 communicating the above compression room 8 and the expansion room 9 is formed when the above piston 4 is positioned in a regular position 41.
