PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing rainwater from entering and surely performing ventilation for an attic. SOLUTION: Inner and outer ventilation rooms 11, 16 are provided in a superposition below the outdoor side of an outer wall 8 on the upstairs side. The lower part of the inner ventilation room 11 is communicated with the attic 10 existing right under the roof 1 through a first vent 9 provided between the upper end of the roof 1 on the downstairs side and the outer wall 8, and the upper part thereof is communicated with the outer ventilation room 16 through a second vent 15 provided to open toward the interior on the upper part side of a partition 17 between the inner and outer ventilation rooms 11, 16. The outer ventilation room 16 is communicated with the outdoors above the second vent 15 and below an upper vent 19 located on the outdoor side and the second vent 15 through a lower vent 20 located on the outdoor side.
