PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of an unwiped portion, that is, remnants of wiping, on a face surface due to a wiper blade being bounded by a restoring force of the wiper blade which is bent too much by being caught in a projection when performing wiping in a state where the projection is formed on the face surface of a recording head. SOLUTION: The wiper blade for cleaning by wiping the face surface has a structure in which the tip thereof has a plurality of branches in the wiping direction of the wiper blade. As a result, when a branched wiper in the downstream side of the wiping direction (main wiper) passes over the projection for wiping the face surface having the projection, a following branched wiper in the upstream side (sub wiper) is caught by the projection to suppress the bound due to the bending of the main wiper using the branching point as a fulcrum, allowing to control the remnants of wiping due to the unevenness of the face surface.
