The tread face of a pneumatic tire where one direction is specified as the direction of rotation has the center region and shoulder regions on both sid e of the center region. Blocks are divided and formed in at least one of the shoulder regions. The blocks are formed by at least one first circumferentia l groove extending in a circumferential direction of the tire and by first transverse grooves arranged at predetermined intervals in the circumferentia l direction and extending in a width direction of the tire. In a groove betwee n adjacent blocks, the relationship between an inclination angle (.alpha.) of a groove wall face on the front side in the rotational direction and an inclination angle (.beta.) of a groove wall face on the rear side in the rotational direction is expressed as .beta.>.alpha.. An edge portion of t he groove wall face on the front side in the rotational direction is beveled.</ SDOAB>
