<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a strain of a object to be measured by correcting a strain caused by a temperature change of an optical fiber. <P>SOLUTION: A strain sensor 101 is provided with a base 2 formed of a flat plastic tape to be fixed to an object to be measured. In the base 2 an optical fiber 3 is installed, and an optical fiber strain measuring device 5 is connected to one end of the optical fiber 3. At the other end of the optical fiber 3, silicone oil is provided for preventing reflection at the distal end of the optical fiber 3. The optical fiber 3 comprises a first measuring section 3a and a second measuring section 3b. Both ends of the first measuring section 3a are fixed to the base 2 by a fixing member 4 so as to have a straight line shape in a measuring range A while having a tension state.
