摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the use of a mercury-less rare gas ultraviolet fluorescent lamp with the aperture type external electrode structure in an ultraviolet surface of light source having the structure that a plurality of straight fluorescent lamps containing ultraviolet ray emission type are arranged to form a surface of light source, and to facilitate the forming of the external electrode in manufacturing the straight rare gas fluorescent lamp. <P>SOLUTION: This ultraviolet surface of light source is formed of an electrode side insulator block 2 having a plurality of grooves, which respectively has an arc-like cross section, and formed with two parallel strip conductors 4A and 4B in the inner wall of the grooves, a light emitting tube forming the straight fluorescent lamp with the conductors 4A and 4B formed in the electrode side insulator block 2, a translucent insulator block 3 having ultraviolet rays permeability and formed from the ultraviolet rays permeable material and having an arc-like cross section as a translucent block for holding the straight fluorescent lamp from an aperture 15A side of the external electrode, and inverters 6A and 6B and a switch SW for selectively lighting a plurality of straight fluorescent lamps. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
