PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an admission control method in mobile communication capable of appropriately assigning radio resources even when propagation quality changes.
SOLUTION: When a mobile station reports a required communication rate, a base station measures a peak amount A of used radio resource, and calculates a value of A×αby multiplying the peak amount A of the used radio resource by a prescribed factorα. Next, the base station subtracts A×αfrom the total radio resource amount and obtains an amount B of assignable radio resource. Then, the base station calculates an admissible communication rate in the case that the propagation quality between the mobile station and the base station is lowest on the basis of the amount B of assignable radio resource. Further, if the required communication rate corresponding to a new application is equal to or lower than an admissible communication rate, the base station admits a service request corresponding to the new application.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
