<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively protect a fuel system and to certainly prevent fuel leakage in excessive input into a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel injector 40 as a fuel system member is disposed in a space 36 sandwiched by a sidewall 18 of a cylinder head 10 as an engine body and an intake manifold 20. The fuel injector 40 is protected by a protector 50 surrounding the fuel injector 40.
