PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser device which has high conversion efficiency even when it is hardly excited directly by an excitation light source, and which uses two laser media capable of pulsed oscillation. SOLUTION: The laser device comprises a first laser resonator having a first solid-state laser medium excited by the excitation light source, second solid-state laser medium which is located inside the first laser resonator and is excited by light amplified by the first solid-state laser medium, second laser resonator having the second solid-state laser medium, and a structure for taking out the output light from the second laser resonator. For the laser media, two laser rods having different wavelengths are used. In one laser resonator, the other laser medium is located, and the other laser medium is excited by laser light oscillated by one laser medium. An oscillation control element is located in either one of the resonators to control pulsed oscillation or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
