PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment body of a sheet material for reducing the fitting force to a plate-like fitting body, ensuring desired engagement ratio and engagement strength, and being firmly fitted and fixed to the plate-like fitting body. SOLUTION: A sheet material attachment body (1) to join and fix various kinds of sheet materials comprises a plate-like fitting edge portion (4) to be inserted in a fitting groove portion (2c) of a fitting body (2) having the fitting groove portion (2c) of a substantially U-shaped section with openings facing each other formed along both edges in the width direction, and a large number of engagement elements (5) integrally erected from one surface of the fitting edge portion (4). When the fitting edge portion (4) of the attachment body (1) is fitted in the fitting groove portion (2c) of the fitting body (2) from the side surface, thin-walled recessed surfaces (4a-1) intermittently formed along the longitudinal direction of the fitting edge portion (4) are deformed in a bitten condition by the pressure by a pressing unit (2b-1) protruded from an inner surface of the fitting groove portion (2c) of the fitting body (2), and an inner wall of the fitting groove portion (2c) is pressed by the elasticity thereof to realize firm fixing.
