PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of recording pickup image information by a general purpose method without information loss and realizing white balance adjustment reflecting the preference of a photographer without increasing the processing loads on the image pickup device itself and the processing environment of high quality images using digital image data recorded by the image pickup device. SOLUTION: By the image pickup device 22, together with scene reference raw data for which signal amplification and a noise reduction processing in an analog processing part 4 and a processing in an image processing part 7 are omitted at the time of photographing, image pickup device characteristic correction data and application rate data of the white balance adjustment are recorded in a recording medium as header information. In an image processor and an image recorder, an image pickup device characteristic correction processing is executed on the basis of the image pickup device characteristic correction data for the scene reference raw data, an optimization processing such as the white balance adjustment is executed on the basis of the application rate data further and appreciation image reference data are generated.
