NUCLEAR REACTOR HEAD HAVING INTEGRATED NOZZLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize stress corrosion cracking of a nuclear reactor closure head assembly; and to eliminate a nozzle welding part exposed to a nuclear reactor coolant. SOLUTION: This nuclear reactor head has a closure head assembly 105 for a nuclear reactor pressure vessel. The assembly 105 has a closure head, and this closure head has a recessed inside surface 24 and a projecting outside surface 26, and is manufactured from a first material. The assembly 105 has a plurality of nozzles 130 integral with the closure head 120. The respective nozzles 130 are terminated at a nozzle tip 136, and have a hole 132 penetrating the nozzles. The hole 132 regulates hole surfaces 122 extending to the nozzle tip 136 from the inside surface of the closure head 120. A corrosion resistant second material is arranged along the respective hole surfaces 122. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
