PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding container for transport, which is constituted so that a folding operation can be done easier. SOLUTION: A container body 21 of the folding container for transport includes a rectangular plate-like bottom wall 22 and each pair of shorter sidewalls 23 and longer sidewalls 24. A vertically slidable engaging member 25 is attached to an external face of the shorter sidewall 23. Restricting protrusions 42a to 42c are protrusively provided at both ends of the shorter sidewall 23 to be engaged into restricting holes 52a to 52c of restricting plates 51 provided at both ends of the longer sidewall 24. Engaging protrusions 61 are protrusively provided at both ends of the engaging member 25 and are inserted into engaging recesses 54 at both ends of the longer sidewall 24 and engaged with engaging portions 55. An operation part 62 is provided on the upper surface of the center of the engaging member 25. The engaging member 25 is constantly urged upward by an urging means. A pair of upper flanges 47 are provided at both sides of the upper end rim of the shorter sidewall 23, and the portion immediately above the part 62 is opened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
