PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring device preventing tire air pressure from getting lower than an appropriate air pressure when inner temperature drops to the ambient temperature even if the tire air pressure is adjusted under a condition that the tire inner temperature is higher than the ambient temperature by judging if tire pressure is adjusted to appropriate air pressure taking the tire inner temperature and the ambient temperature into consideration in adjusting the tire air pressure. SOLUTION: When intention of a user to adjust the tire air pressure is recognized in an air pressure adjustment intention recognition block 54e, the tire inner temperature TT is detected by a temperature sensor 26 of a sensor unit 16 and the ambient temperature TO at the location of a vehicle is detected by an outer air temperature sensor 62 and the air pressure is corrected to the proposed (appropriate) one based on the difference between the detected inner temperature TT and the ambient air temperature TO in a proposed (appropriate) air pressure correction block 54f.
