PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing structure for a roof section capable of improving sound absorbing performance while preventing adhesion of dirt on a roof panel. SOLUTION: This invented sound absorbing structure is provided with a sound absorbing layer capable of absorbing sound energy, an air layer formed between the sound absorbing layer and the roof panel and a partition plate partitioning the air layer into a cell structure having an opening on a passenger compartment side.
