The invention relates to a method for locating a source of discharge of at least one partial discharge in a stator of an electrical machine, wherein the stator is provided on various positions with sensors for detecting electric pulses generated by the discharge, whereby at least one time delay is determined between the electrical pulses detected by the sensors, and based on this at least one time delay the location of the source of discharge is calculated, wherein the calculated location of the source of discharge is carried out by optimising a differential function to a minimum value. |
