Through housing or insert (1) can be blown cooling gas from inlet (2) to opposite outlet side (3), between which are fitted heat generating electric and/or electronic components, usually on circuit boards. Between inlet and outlet side are provided parallel air ducts, or parallel air duct regions, in which components are located. At least two fans (11a,b) in series in flow direction, distributed on inlet side space (2b) and outlet side space (3b). Air is used as cooling gas.
