APPARATUS FOR SERVICING POSITION INFORMATION IN CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM BY USING PERSONAL MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An apparatus for servicing a position information in a car navigation system by using a personal mobile terminal and a method for implementing the same are provided to improve the user interface of the car navigation system by inputting the address information stored in the personal mobile terminal such as a PDA into the car navigation system through a local wireless communication. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for servicing a position information in a car navigation system(304) by using a global positioning system(GPS) satellite(306) and a personal mobile terminal(300) includes a pair of wireless communication modules(30,31) for transmitting an address information from the personal mobile terminal(300) and a car navigation system(304). The car navigation system(304) calculates the current position and the destination position of the user based on the address information from the personal mobile terminal(300) and the GPS information from the GPS satellite(306) and displays the calculated result value to outside of the car navigation system(304).
